GOLD VERMEIL
Gold vermeil is a technique where gold is applied to sterling silver. Gold vermeil uses the same plating technique to standard plating but has a thicker layer of gold, the plating is required to be 2.5 microns thick. This is 5 times thicker than normal gold plating therefore making it far more long-lasting and durable than gold plating. Gold Sister's plating is 18K gold.

BASE METAL
The base metal used in Gold Sisters vermeil jewellery is 925 sterling silver.

GOLD PLATED
Gold plated jewellery has a thin layer of gold applied over metal such as copper. Gold plated jewellery is made of both real gold twinned with a different base metal. These pieces are not solid gold, however it consists of real gold. For a piece to be labelled 'gold plated' the layer of gold must be equal to or greater than 0.5 microns.

7 day returns and exchanges. Customers must contact us within 7 days of order being delivered to be approved for a return or exchange. If an item is returned to us without approval we will not accept your return.
